How would you Select a Custom Patch For Your Biker Style?
Posted by Paul Andrew on 14th May 2015
Let's get serious here - you don't sew on custom patches on your black leather biker jacket or vest merely for style purposes alone right?! Of course they look absolutely bad-ass and enhance the appearance of your biker style, your cut, your look, but you don't choose them according to the trends, its way more personal than that. What are trends anyway and who wants to conform with what others do, right? Many bikers use custom embroidered patches to add a personal touch and to say something about who they are and what they represent. Its totally all about the you, the wearer, of course. You may even add them to make your brand new jacket a little more rugged and roughed up, or show your appreciation for the club and the brothers (and sisters) you ride with. Whatever your reason is, when finding and deciding on the next custom patch to add to your biker vest or jacket, or even for your collection, you have to first make the right selection based on the theme and purpose the patch / design will be best suited for. In order to ensure that you do so, consider some of these options that will add loads of value to your biker style and attitude. You also don't have to stop with just one custom embroidered patch either! Build your theme, add some rockers above and below, after all like we said before, it's all about you!
Iconic Group Patches
Whether you're riding solo or with a group of your brothers, you probably have some sort of icon associated with your biking group, and if you don't, now is the time to get one. Some of the most iconic group custom patches include everything from Skulls with the V-twin Harley Engine, Dark evil, crows, a skeleton, bones, black panther, grim reapers are great and done many different ways, patriotic themed patches and even bulldog tough looking embroidered patches with everything in between. Anything that you want can take the place to represent your biking traits distinctly on your leather jacket. Just be sure to pick one or more that makes you proud to wear it. After all, that's what the patches are for and again, it's all about you!
Flag Custom Patches
You may also want to think about embracing your nationality and country by incorporating some flag patches into your biker gear. Flags tend to look very distinctive up against a leather or denim jacket, and can be a bad-ass way to show some appreciation for the place that you like to call home. While some people usually sew their flag patches onto the shoulder piece, try something different to set your group apart from the rest, why not try side rockers or lower waist bars!
Military Embroidered Patches
Whether you ride in a group with family or friends in the military or former marines, a military embroidered patch can be appreciated across the board. While wearing your flag's country makes you feel proud, placing on a patch that shows how patriotic and dedicated you are to supporting past and present troops while further representing your biking group just the way you want.
Harley Davidson Patches
Some bikers are just Harley guys. They ride nothing but Harley Davidson's, and it's their ride or die. Shop for custom patches that represent this kind of style. You can even get the H-A-R-L-E-Y letters and patch them onto your leather jacket in a way that is specific to your personal preference. Get in touch with us today and we'll be happy to assist you in making that one special patch that you can call your own!
Word Custom Patches
Sometimes, you don't need an icon to represent your biker appeal. Words can say it all within a few stitches. You can always opt to have some scripted patches and quotes custom-made for your group or slogan that you ride by. Just dream it, let us know and we'll make it a reality for you, its that easy!
Now, these categories of custom embroidered patches are only a few. You can truly sew on whatever you can think of; funny patches, outlaw biker patches, sport inspired, music infused or even get some for the kids when they're riding 2 up on the back. Regardless of what style of patch you choose, be sure to pick one that is authentic to your personality and if you're riding in a group, consider those you ride with as well. And that's not to mention that no one said you have to pick just one custom embroidered patch either! Your leather jacket or biker vest is about to get a rough and rugged do-over.
Thanks for reading, and remember, keep it rubber side down guys and gals!
